Translation: Spent a day in London a few weeks ago where we and a few other moms and children around the same age as E caught the train from Hove up to London Victoria.

We were in total 5 moms and 5 children that boarded the train with destination London Victoria. Trains from Hove takes about 50 min and from the Victoria Station in London it’s only 2 stops with the Circle or District Line to get to South Kensington where a few of the bigger museums are. In South Kensington there’s the V&A(Victoria & Albert Museum), the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. This day we visited the Science Museum.

It’s huge, with lots of things for children of all ages. For our children, the ages 1- 2 1/2 there was a big interactive area on the ground floor, including a cube that played dance music and projected light shows on the wall. Think this was E’s favourite.

In the basement there’s a huge play area especially suited for the smaller children. There’s softplay, more interactive toys, tunnels and a big water play with boats that float down channels.

We had so much fun.

After a few hours at the Science Museum we went to Pizza Express(of course) in Knightsbridge, just behind Harrods. We had pizzas and ice creams and even managed to have coffees as the children were so well behaved. We were so happily surprised by the calm lunch we all had together, for once.

What a great day we had in London. I would definitely recommend the Science Museum for anyone visiting London with children. So much to do, and it’s all for free!
