Following the match against the Abbey, Coker will have two regular season matches remaining. The first match is at home against Emmanuel on Nov. 2 and the second on the road against Converse on Nov. 3.

Wednesday’s match will feature a special Halloween Costume Contest sponsored by Pause for Paws. All fans are encouraged to wear their best family friendly Halloween Costume to the match and compete in a costume contest between the second and third sets.Newest and hottest Halloween costumes at www.chinaclothonline.com.

This festival gives people chances to show off their clever ideas and show off their creativity in costume.

Every year in Madison, Freak Fest takes place around Halloween and gives people the opportunity to walk down State Street and flaunt their costumes. There was a $12 fee at the gate to walk around on State Street, and an $8 fee if the tickets were purchased ahead of time.

Popular artists such as Mac Miller, Big Gigantic, Nobody Beats the Drum, Prof, Roster McCabe, Gentlemen Hall and a few others played on stages on the streets of Madison. With admission, anyone could see any of the performers of their choice. There were different stages for different people around the festival.

The city’s biggest costume contest started at 11:00p.m at the Ticketmaster Stage, and there were prizes for the most creative costumes. People dressed up in different varieties of costumes, from a life size Jack Skellington to a group of people dressed up as the minions from the movie Despicable Me. It was fun to just walk around for hours to observe all the different outfits. Are you well aware of the various promotion codes for chinaclothonline, declared by the company for the upcoming festival?

Out of the 33,000 people that attended this festival, there were only a few more arrests compared to the 30 arrests that were made last year. The streets were closely watched by approximately 300 law enforcement officers. I didn’t feel unsafe, even after being told there was a riot in previous years.

I went to two of the concerts, Big Gigantic and Nobody Beats the Drum. Nobody Beats the Drum was pretty good, but I definitely loved Big Gigantic’s opening. Their stage presented the audience with bright lights and smoke that poured into the crowd. Their opening song was the first song I’ve heard from them and to me it was absolutely fantastic. Personally, I thought they killed it. The stage was set up in the middle of a street off State Street. Even being outside, the stage was crowded with people in costumes dancing. It was outside but being in the crowd warmed me up.

Freak Fest was definitely worth the money. With my ticket, gas, and a few drinks there, I spent approximately $30. The only concerns that anyone would probably have was the drunk people walking around. I consider this money was well spent and I would highly recommend anyone to go there next year around Halloween. If anyone would like to see Big Gigantic they play Nov. 24, at The Rave.

Werth’s giving nature defines her time at NU

Saturday afternoon, hours before the final regular-season home match for the Nebraska volleyball team, coach John Cook looked somewhat impatiently at his watch, wondering how long he should wait for Hannah Werth before starting the team’s serve-and-pass warm-up practice.

Finally, he walked over to the sideline where Werth was chatting up a family, including a couple of kids who had come by to get a glimpse of the Huskers. Reluctantly, he tapped Werth on the shoulder.

Hannah, we have to start practice.

An occupational hazard of coaching the Huskers’ most popular player is that it sometimes means a little crowd control.

Hannah is a very giving person, Cook said. She just always is giving and connecting. She’s been very good that way. She appreciates every moment that she’s here. Her perspective has changed a lot over the four years she’s been here. She’s such a giver and wants to make people feel special and let them know how much she appreciates their support. I think that’s why she is a fan favorite.

It wasn’t always that way, Werth will be the first to tell you. Before she was the high-flying, fist-pumping, goggles-wearing, thumping heartbeat of the Nebraska volleyball team, she was a lonely, homesick, immature kid who wasn’t sure where she fit in.Newest and hottest Halloween costumes at www.chinaclothonline.com.

She shined on the court her freshman season, becoming the first freshman to lead Nebraska in kills since Sarah Pavan in 2004 and being named an honorable mention All-American.

But the transition to college life wasn’t easy. Werth struggled to find the right balance between the student and athlete sides of her life. Just months removed from her hometown of Springfield, Ill., she suddenly was a big piece of a championship-caliber team. Thrown into the pressure cooker of 4,000 sets of eyes in the NU Coliseum, she had never before felt so small.

I was just a pup and I was playing with girls who were 22 years old, Werth said. Just trying to find my niche and understand who I am, as well as find my place within a bigger whole. You’re really forced to, not necessarily grow up fast, but develop into who you are at a faster pace because everything goes by so quickly.

Werth admitted second-guessing nearly everything. Was she happy with the path she had chosen, the school she attended? Are you well aware of the various promotion codes for chinaclothonline, declared by the company for the upcoming festival?

For me personally, that’s where my faith has grown so much and become part of who I am as a person, Werth said. Realizing God has a plan for everything.

Maybe it’s understandable, then, why in those early days Werth was primarily worried about herself. Maybe it’s why now, she works so hard so nobody has to go through those same challenges alone.

If the Huskers are a family, Werth is the clear big sister, balancing tough love with words of encouragement. If it’s felt a teammate isn’t working hard enough in practice, she’s the one in their face. If they’re still hung up on it after practice, she’s the one to offer them a reassuring hug.

Relationships, homesickness, school problems, the pressure to succeed. College can be a vulnerable time for maturing young adults, Werth said. Those problems are tough enough without thinking no one else understands.

That made me more determined to make sure those younger kids were like my sisters, Werth said. That’s somebody’s daughter. I want to take care of them. I want to make sure they’re set and if they need anything they always have me.

It’s funny, Werth said, but embracing that responsibility actually made her feel lighter. Once you know where you fit in, you stop wasting energy trying to figure it out.

Werth is lighter now. There is no bigger smile on the court than hers. No celebratory scream louder. And the fans, especially the young girls, my goodness, don’t they love her?

Her protective sport goggles, once somewhat of a source of embarrassment, are a fashion statement. Mothers email Cook to tell him their volleyball-playing daughters have ditched their glasses in favor of goggles.

During pregame introductions before Nebraska played Penn State on Oct. 28 at the Coliseum, when players normally throw miniature volleyballs into the crowd, Werth walked over to give hers to a little girl who came to the match in a Halloween costume. It was a cardboard box painted red on bottom and silver on top.

A hammer. As in, Hannah the Hammer. If Nebraska advances to the Final Four in three weeks, the program’s first since 2008, it will likely be due in large part to that frustrated kid who grew up well.

Since recovering from a midseason illness and ankle injury that kept her out of NU’s five-set loss to Michigan State, Werth is playing the best volleyball of her career. She averaged 4.5 kills and three digs per set in the Huskers’ three straight wins to end the regular season.

But, if Nebraska’s season ends without a trip to Louisville, Ky., Werth knows now it’s not the end of the world. Her experience has taught her not all victories come with a trophy.

Sometimes what you can give is better than what you can get.

Your, my or anybody’s successes are not necessarily defined by the championships or the awards, the wins and the losses, Werth said. It’s so much more the journey, not the destination. I know that’s cliche and people say that a lot, but the ups and the downs that I was talking about before, those are the things that are going to make you who you are as a person, not just as a volleyball player.

Perrysburg parade welcomes visitors ‘Home for the Holidays’

Perrysburg has been Doris Currie’s hometown for 40 years, so she is a reliable judge of city events like Sunday’s Home for the Holidays parade.

“We get a good attendance at most events,” she said.

Indeed, many folks bundled up in the chilly November weather and thronged the sidewalks in the historic downtown area. Some had come quite far from their homes.

Nan Otto, of Berlin Heights, Ohio, in Huron County, had come to watch daughter Jennifer, 12, participate in the parade with the Dance Factory.

Her son R.J., 8, sat on the curb wearing an elf hat the family discovered among their Christmas decorations.

“We put up the tree last night, [and] he’s been wearing it ever since,” Ms. Otto said.

She said it is especially heart-warming when her two eldest children come home from college for the holidays.

“I miss them very much,” she said.Wholesale Fashion Gloves

Perrysburg Mayor Nelson Evans said the parade’s theme brought out family togetherness.

“A sense of comfort, familiarity, the fact that you know everyone,” he said.

Todd Haggard brought his family from Toledo to collect candy and wave at Santa Claus. His wife, Haley, said they tried to watch the Maumee parade the previous day but were deterred by chilly temperatures.

They arrived early Sunday afternoon to secure a prime spot at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Second Street. Children Elias and Isla huddled under blankets in their red wagon, an essential piece of equipment on the area parade circuit.

“It’s always in the trunk,” Mr. Haggard said.

Family spirit warmed Clara Obee, 73,Wholesale Fashion Gown & Long Dress of Perrysburg, who came to the parade to cheer for granddaughter Alexa Camp and the rest of her state-championship teammates on Perrysburg High School’s varsity girls soccer team, who served as grand marshals.

“I’ve gone to every game but two,” she said from under a parka hood and scarf her husband had tucked over her ears.

Bella Kimble, 3, of Bowling Green came for the marching bands.

She especially likes baton twirlers.

“They flip it in the sky!” she said, throwing her tiny arms up to demonstrate.

Parade sponsor Downtown Perrysburg Inc. handed out free hot chocolate and candy canes.

Some of the crowd dispersed for Wholesale Fashion Sexy Bunny Costume the warmth of home after the marchers passed, but others headed to Hood Park to celebrate the illumination of the tall evergreen tree there.

Jack Wellstein, 7, of Perrysburg might have been the coziest kid in the park.

He was still dressed in his trusty squirrel costume, which he wore in the parade as he marched from the starting point at his school, Toth Elementary.Wholesale Fashion Sexy Accessories

His family said he is nuts about squirrels and has worn the outfit for several years now, whether it be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, chinaclothonline or any old day of the week.

“Every single time,” Jack confirmed.

Lady Gaga Goes to Bat for Lindsay Lohan, Liz & Dick

lindsay lohan lizdick front Lady Gaga Goes to Bat for Lindsay Lohan, Liz & Dick (watch!)Lady Gaga knows how the snarky web can hurt. That’s why she has nothing but praise for Lindsay Lohan’s performance in the Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick.” Meanwhile, it’s become the movie everyone loves to hate.

The 26-year=old actress, who has spent more time in court than on a sound stage in the last five years, was counting on “Liz & Dick” to be her bootstrap back onto the Hollywood A-List.

Lohan played Elizabeth Taylor during her tumultuous two marriages to English actor Richard Burton (Grant Bowler),Wholesale Fashion Homburg arguably one of the best classically trained actors of his time.

Instead, she can’t cut a break. There’s no question the actress was uneven in her portrayal. She never really captured Taylor like Meryl Streep captured Margaret Thatcher in her movie “The Iron Lady.” But that’s why Streep has multiple Oscars.

Still, Lohan could have done her homework.Wholesale Fashion Vinyl & Leather Lingerie At times, she looks the part; at other times she looks like she’s wearing a Halloween costume. And, her poor representation of Taylor’s unique accent also detracted from the movie.

But the real problem was a screwy script that used Lohan and counterpart Bowler as their characters to provide a narrative line for the movie.

The cheesy plot device was necessary because the movie covered more than a decade of their lives, which proved to be another problem.

As soon as a scene started developing, it was on to the next snippet. Better to have zeroed in one compelling part of their lives, like “My Week With Marilyn” did with Marilyn Monroe. After all, the story here was in the telling, chinaclothonlineWholesale Fashion Sexy Nurse Costume and that required more detail to pull off.

“The Iron Lady” suffered from the same problem. To cover Thatcher’s long life and career in office, the director used flashbacks with Streep mostly playing an aged and addled character near the end of her life.

In any event, Gaga gave Lohan some words of encouragement on twitter. “@lindsaylohan you did a beautiful job on Liz & Dick, Let no one bring u down, Liz didn’t, they always try to knock you down a few pegs.”

At least Lohan got through the filming and the film actually aired as planned. It’s all up from her for the “Mean Girls” star.

But vaulting into the number-three spot on the survey this year — and it hadn’t appeared at all in previous years — was ”Body Weight Training.” Body weight training is defined as back-to-basics workouts that include push-ups, planks, pull-ups, squats and more — anything that uses the body as resistance.

WRD and body weight training aren’t the same thing. But maybe there is a common denominator. People who want to exercise may not be able to find a class that fits their increasingly hectic schedule. Maybe they’re working weekends and/or weeknights, and can’t do organized club runs or benefit 5Ks. Or maybe they’ve lost their job and can’t afford a lot of extra expenses (race registration fees,Wholesale Fashion Japan Korea lingerie health club dues) at the moment. They want to stay fit, and they’re trying to develop programs that work within their limits.

The question is whether you think independent workouts will impact the fitness industry moving forward, or whether you think they’re a symptom of a temporary glitch in the economy or the workforce that is influencing people’s ways of working out. Or maybe it’s just another fitness fad that comes and goes?
